Dryad

Dryads are a slow and steady kin; they value consistency and peace. They often spend most of their lives in the same city, living comfortable and safe existences. Dryads are kind and calm and make opinions and decisions with careful intention. Although Dryads are typically non-aggressive, they will protect their homes and will not stand for mistreatment. They tend toward obstinate defense. Dryads’ skin is covering bark, and their hair is made up of leaves that match the biome they were born in. They are larger than most humans and have deep green, almond shaped eyes. Their faces are slightly flatter than humans. 

Kin Attributes

Barkskin

The player gets 2 extra HP points on top of their health that refreshes after every encounter.

Biome

The player gets a different effect depending on what type of forest they’re from or what type of tree they resemble.

Locust - Can ignore thick brush or similar natural inconveniences 

Oak - If organic, heavy armor weighs 1 less, and ultra heavy armor weighs 2 less. The armor weight class does not change.

Pine - If you’re in a snowy environment, you can sense your surroundings by hearing.

Other trees or biomes will be described on a case-by-case basis.


Rooted

Allows a player to hold their ground. The player can’t move, can’t be moved, and can’t be knocked down. If the player moves the Root is broken. (OPQ)

Song of the Forest*

Once an event the player can duplicate up to 3 herbs and sculpt the growth of a tree, large plant, or large group of plants into a specific structure. This takes 1 minute of in-game focus, and takes either the entire rest of the event to finish, or the time in between events to finish.
